The African Student Association from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, had their annual cultural event, Taste of Africa, on April 12th. Every year they choose an organization to be the event's beneficiary; this year the Association selected Medical Bridges.
Mr. Joseph Ngomo, Vice-President of CAFICA (Cameroon Fighting Cancer), wants to bring quality medical equipment and supplies to patients at the General Hospital in Douala, Cameroon.

A group of students from Texas A&M, representing St. Mary's Catholic Center, devoted their Spring Break time to a good cause. They had a pretty busy week volunteering with different organizations. Medical Bridges had the privilege of hosting them on Wednesday, March 12th.
Medical Bridges welcomed Dr. Laurence Kamara and Dr. Pierre Claver Niangoin from the District of Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, along with Mr. Jean Bouadou and Dr. Jeffrey Bouadou of Global Assistance. Dr. Kamara led the delegation on behalf of Governor Robert Mambe to explore the possibility of collaborating with Medical Bridges to improve healthcare delivery in his district.
HHRD held their 2014 Annual Conference in the Space City and Medical Bridges had the honor of hosting a reception and tour of our facility.
